Bella and the Rainbow Bridge
Summary

Reading time ~ approx. 3 min

Bella the bear cub follows a rainbow with her new friend Tim the turtle, helping a family of ducks and a trapped bird along the way. When they reach the end of the rainbow, they realize the true treasure was the kindness they showed to others. Bella learns that the journey can be more rewarding than the destination.

One rainy afternoon, Bella, a little bear cub, sat in her cave feeling bored. “It’s been raining forever!” she grumbled.

Just then, the rain stopped, and the sun peeked through the clouds. Bella stepped outside and gasped. A giant rainbow stretched across the sky, its colors shimmering like magic.

“Wow! I wonder where it leads?” Bella said. She decided to follow the rainbow.

As Bella walked through the forest, she met a turtle named Tim. “Where are you going?” Tim asked.

“To find the end of the rainbow!” Bella said.

Tim smiled. “Rainbows are special. They might not have an end, but I’ll come along.”

Soon, they came to a river where a family of ducks was struggling to cross. “Let’s help them,” Bella said. She gently carried the ducklings while Tim helped the mother duck across the water.

Farther along, they found a bird stuck in a thorny bush. “Hang on!” Bella said. She used her soft paws to free the bird, who chirped happily and flew away.

Finally, they reached a meadow where the rainbow seemed to touch the ground. Bella and Tim looked around, but there was no treasure—just the beautiful colors glowing all around them.

“Did we miss the end?” Bella asked, a little disappointed.

Tim shook his head. “I don’t think so. Look at all the good we did along the way. That’s the real treasure.”

Bella smiled as she thought about the ducklings and the bird. “You’re right. The rainbow wasn’t about finding an end—it was about helping others.”

As the rainbow faded, Bella and Tim walked home, feeling proud of their magical adventure.
